All of the staff were very friendly. We arrived three hours before the earliest check in time but our room was ready and they kindly let us in. Location was perfect. Both tram lines and many bus lines stop 100 m away from the hotel. Hotel interior is modern and clean and their beds are very confy. They didn't have coffee machine nor instant coffees in the room which are usually available in other hotels but that is a tiny issue. I can truly recommend Ibis hotel for your stay in Besançon.

I mean, how hard can it be to have a shower that is easy and intuitive to use, that provides both hand and top showerheads, that reacts quickly to changes in temperature and that has a convenient shelf for shampoo? And yet these guys have it, and almost any other hotel I've been too - doesn't. Kudos. Other than that, it's a regular chain hotel, although the loby is better decorated than other hotels of this chain.

The Ibis is well situated, being easy to access by road yet a short walk from the restaurants in the old town. We were cycling, exploring the Doubs and Loue river valleys and found it easy to cycle out of town on the riverside cycle tracks. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Everything was very clean, beds comfy and the shower decent. the off-street parking was appreciated and there was even a secure cycle store.

Very quiet with good blackout curtains. Car park essential given the central location, but beware the extremely narrow entrance, not for a large 4 x 4. Basic room but fine for an overnight stay. Friendly staff who smile (not always the case in France!). Good free wifi. Excellent shower.

Perfect location to explore the downtown and have easy access to public transport. Rather small room and bathroom but perfectly clean, comfortable bed. Very good breakfast with wide range of options except for vegetables. Very smooth and fast checkin and helpful reception staff.
